The flower inspired guard matches the kujang, beautiful but effective.
A fantastic traditional filigree spacer is inset in the handle and if you look just ahead of the guard you will see the hook that represents the thorn on the flower stem, one of our symbols of what happens if you try and harm the beautiful flower that represents part of the art. Beautiful but deadly when needed, is the theme.
Look at the back of the blade, its wide and heavy. It can be used against the body utilizing our “blade within the body “techniques and you can smash instead of cutting if you chose or change directions in a flash to do both if desired. The all heavy leather case is top notch and has a wide belt loop for carrying. It is very slick in a cross-draw carry.
The beautifully grained exotic hardwood handle is made with a perfect taper to secure the hand but also allows fast and easy reverse grip switching. The forward rise in the wood handle stops the hand from siding forward easily. In this way the pad of the thumb can rest, as you see it against the flower guard petal. This adds maneuverability and also with a push-snap forward of the thumb, the last portion of our proper whip snap, total body movement gets transferred directly to the blade. The end of the handle is capped off with a polished brass plate in case the pommel is needed for a strike and the bolt there pulls it all together snugly.
Look at the symmetry and pleasing lines of the curve. This blade has been designed in accordance with the laws of the golden mean and fits our natural body moves of spirals and waves perfectly and you can see how it follows the natural curve in my arm in the photo.
